Beginner's Forklift Ticket Course

Training Course Experts is Perth's biggest fork school, running forklift training courses 7 days per week at our Perth training venue to ensure you can get your forklift ticket sooner!  Last year, we trained over 3,000 people to use a forklift.  We also run afternoon/evening courses too and offer free parking on site!

This 2 day course is relevant for any person wishing to obtain the nationally recognised High Risk Work forklift licence to operate a forklift (LF class).  This course is suitable for participants with little or no previous forklift operating experience.

The course comprises a written theory assessment (in English), followed by up to a day and a half of practical driving training (including a practical assessment).  Participants need a strong command of the English language to successfully complete the written and practical components of this course.

***Note: Due to changes in WorkSafe's assessment process, there is a MANDATORY pre-reading component (of approximately 1 hour) that needs to be completed before sitting this course.  This can be done either online, or via a PDF workbook. Students who have not completed the necessary pre-course study on arrival for their training, will NOT be permitted entry to the classroom and will need to reschedule to an alternate date, at a cost of 50% of the course fee***    The online pre-reading content is not compatible with all mobile devices (such as mobile phones and tablets).  As such, we recommend that you use a PC or laptop to complete it.‚Äč

Upon successful completion, participants are issued with a temporary paper forklift licence (valid for 60 days), within which time, participants need to apply to WorkSafe for their nationally recognised photo ID forklift licence and pay an additional fee of $84.

We provide you with a FREE set of passport photos for your WorkSafe licence application upon completion of your course.

Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of up to $232 of their course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.

If you have had thorough previous experience in operating a forklift, we suggest you look at our 1 day Experienced Forklift Course.

From 1st January 2015 all Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) throughout Australia are required to collect Unique Student Identifiers (USI) from persons enrolling in VET training.

A student will require a USI prior to obtaining their Statement of Attainment from the training organisation where they are undertaking study.

You can create your USI at it only takes 5 minutes. Please bring your USI with you when you attend your training course.
